How to Recite the Chaplet of Divine Mercy: The Chaplet of Mercy is recited using ordinary rosary beads of five decades. The Chaplet is sometimes preceded by two opening prayers from the Diary of Saint Faustina and followed by a closing prayer.

1.  Make the Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

2. Optional Opening Prayer

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.

OR (3x)

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

3. Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

4. Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

5. The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of

heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.  I believe in the Holy spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.  Amen. 

6. The Eternal Father

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

7. On the Ten Small Beads of Each Decade

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

8. Repeat for the remaining decades

Eternal Father

9. Conclude with Holy God (Repeat three times)

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

10. Optional Closing Prayer

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.

La Novena de la Divina Misericordia comienza el Viernes Santo. Haga clic aquí para rezar la Novena.

Cómo recitar la Coronilla de la Divina Misericordia: La Coronilla de la Misericordia se recita con las cuentas de un rosario ordinario de cinco decenas. A veces, la Coronilla va precedida de dos oraciones iniciales del Diario de Santa Faustina y seguida de una oración final.

1. Hacer la Señal de la Cruz
   
   En el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo. Amén.
   
2. Oración inicial opcional
   
   Expiraste, Jesús, pero la fuente de la vida brotó para las almas, y el océano de la misericordia se abrió para el mundo entero. Oh Fuente de Vida, Divina Misericordia insondable, envuelve al mundo entero y vacíate sobre nosotros.
   
   O (3x)
   
   ¡Oh Sangre y Agua, que brotaron del Corazón de Jesús como fuente de Misericordia para nosotros, confío en Ti!
   
3. Padre nuestro
   
   Padre nuestro, que estás en los cielos, santificado sea tu nombre; venga a nosotros tu reino; hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo. Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día; y perdona nuestras ofensas como también nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden; y no nos dejes caer en la tentación, mas líbranos del mal, Amén.
   
4. Dios te salve, María
   
   Dios te salve, María, llena eres de gracia. El Señor está contigo. Bendita tú eres entre todas las mujeres y bendito es el fruto de tu vientre, Jesús. Santa María, Madre de Dios, ruega por nosotros pecadores, ahora y en la hora de nuestra muerte, Amén.
   
5. El Credo de los Apóstoles
   
   Creo en Dios, Padre todopoderoso, creador del cielo y de la tierra, y en Jesucristo, su Hijo único, Señor nuestro, que fue concebido por el Espíritu Santo, nació de la virgen María, padeció bajo Poncio Pilato, fue crucificado, muerto y sepultado; descendió a los infiernos; al tercer día resucitó de entre los muertos; subió a los cielos, y está sentado a la derecha de Dios Padre todopoderoso; desde allí vendrá a juzgar a vivos y muertos. Creo en el Espíritu Santo, en la santa Iglesia católica, en la comunión de los santos, en el perdón de los pecados, en la resurrección de la carne y en la vida eterna. Amén.
   
6. El Padre Eterno
   
   Padre Eterno, te ofrezco el Cuerpo y la Sangre, el Alma y la Divinidad de Tu Amadísimo Hijo, Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, en expiación de nuestros pecados y los del mundo entero.

   Por Su dolorosa Pasión, ten piedad de nosotros y del mundo entero.

    Dios eterno, en quien la misericordia no tiene fin y el tesoro de la compasión es inagotable, míranos con bondad y aumenta Tu misericordia en nosotros, para que en los momentos difíciles no desesperemos ni nos desanimemos, sino que con gran confianza nos sometamos a Tu santa voluntad, que es el Amor y la Misericordia mismos.
