Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
When we participate in the Eucharistic celebration, we allow Jesus, body, soul, and divinity to enter into the body, mind, and spirit.
When we participate in the Eucharistic celebration, we allow Jesus, body, soul, and divinity to enter into the body, mind, and spirit.
So, it is a good time to reflect on exactly what a shepherd does and who are they.
Today a crisis exists in the Church.
Each of us has a solid foundation of faith built upon the faith of the apostles and fortified by sacramental grace.
No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
We are a missionary church and though we assemble each week to proclaim our oneness in the Lord, our mission cannot end at the doors of the Church.
We must build community that mirrors the community of the Trinity and we must be one in Spirit and Truth as the Eucharist calls each of us to be.
“This is the day the Lord had made, let us rejoice and be glad in it”.
We are called to be active participants in this great mystery of love when our Creator, who loved each of us into existence, suffered death on a cross to be united with us forever.
We are called to be Jesus as He washed the feet of His apostles and called us to do the same.
